Cursed Urn is a trinket added in The Reheated Update.

Effects

• 0.75× tear delay multiplier.
• If Isaac is about to take fatal damage:
  • Transforms them into China.
  • Replaces Cursed Urn with Shattered Cursed Urn.
  • Removes up to 6 Broken Hearts from the health bar.
• Dropping Cursed Urn or hitting it with an explosion while it is on the ground will cause it to shatter, turning into Shattered Cursed Urn.

Notes

• Cursed Urn spawned in through an item effect will cause it to be considered as being dropped and immediately shatter as a result, such as through picking up Marbles, Mom's Purse and Belly Button, or through using Mom's Box.

Interactions

• Frog Puppet / Tattered Frog Puppet: Frog Puppet will take priority over Cursed Urn when triggering a revival from fatal damage.
• Berserk!: Upon dropping to 0 Hearts remaining while Berserk! is active, the revival will not be triggered. It will only trigger if the player has no Health once Berserk! expires.
• Trinket Mutipliers: Cursed Urn's Tear Delay multiplier is stacked to the power of its Trinket Multiplier value.
  • If Cursed Urn was golden, dropping it or hitting it with an explosion will instead remove its gilding.

Shattered Cursed Urn

Shattered Cursed Urn is a unique trinket, being the secondary form of Cursed Urn.

Effects

• 0.9× tear delay multiplier.
• Shattered Cursed Urn cannot appear naturally; it can only be found through Cursed Urn becoming shattered.
• Will not revive the player when they take fatal damage, unless they are holding Mom's Box.

Interactions

• Trinket Mutipliers: Shattered Cursed Urn's Tear Delay multiplier is stacked to the power of its Trinket Multiplier value.
  • With Mom's Box, Shattered Cursed Urn can revive the player as China, following the same conditions and interactions as Cursed Urn, and removes the Trinket afterwards. This only happens while Mom's Box is held, and does not work for other forms of Trinket Multipliers.
• Azurite Spindown: Using Azurite Spindown to reroll Shattered Cursed Urn into Cursed Urn will immediately shatter the resultant Cursed Urn again.

Trivia

• The tears up granted by Cursed Urn is identical to the tear rate multiplier which China has naturally.
